Housing

As part of our program, we provide shared housing for all of our residents. TROSA is undertaking a major expansion of its central Durham campus, where we are building new apartment buildings, town homes, single family homes, and a community center complete with auditorium and gym. As part of their therapeutic program and job skills training, TROSA residents renovate the properties acquired by TROSA. In residential neighborhoods, TROSA has a special goal of upgrading the properties to make them a positive factor in the neighborhood. TROSA takes special pride in its award winning restoration efforts.

James Street Campus

Close to 100 residents are housed at our James Street campus in two to three bedroom apartments that are shared with other residents. Residents share all housekeeping and maintenance duties for their units and this housing and all furnishings are provided free of charge.

Transitional Housing

Graduates can live at minimal cost for at least a year in one of the organization's 20 after-care residences. Graduates in housing are required to attend semi-monthly group sessions with other graduates to help them maintain their sobriety. There are currently more than 120 graduates living in TROSA homes.
