TROSA Moving
TROSA is the largest independent moving company in the Triangle area and provides the local third-party labor for many national companies. TROSA's client base consists primarily of residential homes, but TROSA also performs commercial moving and storage services. Our commercial clients include Self Help Credit Union, Duke University, Durham Radiology, Sports Endeavors Inc., Ligget Group Inc. and North Carolina Central University. We also provide moving and storage for those needing a temporary home for their furnishings, such as students over the summer months between semesters.
Estimates

Residential Moves
Local Hourly Move
An hourly rate is charged for a move that is less than 35 miles from origin to destination, for more information and current rates see Moving Rates .pdf

Interstate
An out of state move is calculated on the basis of weight and the distance. We always offer a free onsite estimate by one of our representatives who will come to your location and give you a more definite idea about the cost. It'll give you a good basis to do some preliminary comparisons if you are thinking of renting a truck and doing it yourself. To calculate the weight of your household goods we actually drive our truck onto a truck scale before your pickup and again after your goods are loaded. The difference between the two weights is the weight of your shipment.
Commercial
Whether you are moving a single office or an entire building, TROSA Moving has the expertise and staff to accomplish the move in the least amount of time and with as little disruption as possible to your productivity.
After an initial inspection of your offices, you will be furnished with a written proposal detailing both the services to be provided and their cost. Our trained relocation experts can then meet with your personnel to address any questions and aid in preparing a plan that best meets the needs of your company.
On the day of your move, experienced foremen direct our efficient and courteous crews as they implement your move plan. Our state of the art moving vans and trailers are equipped with air ride, ramps and lift gates to expedite the moving process. We are insured and can provide a certificate of insurance upon request.
Climate Controlled Storage
TROSA Moving offers convenient, economical and secure storage services for all or part of your household belongings. Our storage facilities are climate controlled and fully alarmed. We offer private storage vaults (7 ft x 5ft x 5ft) as well as customized storage to meet your individual needs.
We maintain our facilities at the highest standard of cleanliness. Access to your goods is always available during business hours. Our rates are the most competitive in the marketplace.
Packing
TROSA Moving will provide full or partial packing service to custom suit your moving needs. We even provide custom-made crates to protect more delicate items, such as antiques, collectibles, and glass or marble tabletops. We also offer sturdy wardrobe cartons to protect clothing from wrinkling in transit and double-wall cartons to help safeguard fine china and crystal.
