The Nature Trail Now Features a New Seating Area

Our dedicated volunteers, along with the expert bricklayers from TROSA, have just finished constructing a new seating area near the wooden steps that were installed last fall. The project involved building several brick retaining walls and three short pillars, which provide a perfect resting spot on the hillside above the Grace Garden. The new seating area was planned and installed under the direction of Curt Eshelman, who inserted three small, engraved plaques on the pillars in honor of three of his family members: Claramae K. Eshelman, Philip V. Eshelman, and Dorothy M. Oldham. A photo of the project in progress is included here, with Curt working on the pillars under the watchful eye of a TROSA bricklayer. Come to the park someday soon and take a look (or better yet, sit down for a spell) at the new seating area.
